Bluefin Sport swimmer boosts hopes for Commonwealth Games

It’s been a fantastic few weeks for our SportsAid athlete Ryan West. First it was the British Championships in Glasgow where he obtained the Commonwealth Games qualifying time in the S9 100m freestyle. This was followed by the British Para-Swimming International meet, also in Glasgow, where Ryan was hoping for a European qualifying time in the 50 freestyle. He needed 26:80 but just missed out with a time of 27:61. He also competed in the 100 free, 100 fly and 400 free, managing to get into the B finals on all of them.

The Commonwealth Games take place between 23 July and 3 August.
